| Job Opportunities - Studying At Richardsons |
The majority of our trainees attend residential study courses at Reed Business School near Moreton-in-Marsh in the Cotswolds. The business school is based in a 17th Century manor house, which is set in ten acres of parkland and has a swimming pool, tennis court, croquet lawn and football pitch. Students stay in rooms either in the manor itself or in one of the surrounding cottages, and all meals are provided.
Classes are small, and students can take advantage of one-to-one support from tutors, together with regular feedback on their progress. Studying at Reed is also a great opportunity to meet trainees from other firms. To find out more, visit

Students preferring non-residential study courses have the option of attending courses run locally by one of the other national training organisations, such as FTC.
As well as attending classes, preparing for the exams also requires home study. You will need to spend time reviewing topics studied on the course, and practising exam-style questions. Regular home-study exams are submitted to tutors, who will mark the papers and return them to you with guidance as to how you can improve on your exam technique. It can be difficult studying at home when you have been in the office all day, but you will soon find that you settle into a work/study routine that suits your own lifestyle.
We also have an
in-house training
programme to
supplement your
studies.
For
example, regular
training sessions
on technical and
IT subjects are
run by the
directors and
accounting staff,
and some are
presented by
outside speakers.
There is a strong sense of community among trainees at Richardsons, and people are especially supportive of one another at exam (and results!) time. Whilst training at Richardsons means early responsibility and the opportunity to develop your own way of working, we hope that it is also a friendly place to work, where students feel that they are valued members of the team.
